The Congregate Living facility has over 50 residents that are considered to be “low-income housing” and support is given from the State of Connecticut. This is our 4th year of working with this group. We simply bring small Christmas trees to our Senior Living communities and Rehab centers facilities. Each tree will have several ornaments which we ask the Congregate facility to provide to us with several needs and wants from that Senior who is living in the facility. Once we drop off the tree and ornaments the Senior Living community or Rehab Center will ask their staff or even residents to help purchase gifts for the drive! We will then pick up the gifts and if needed wrap them for the Congregate Living residents. We deliver them on or around the 20th so there is enough time for the Congregate Living facility to distribute them.
